Jen Initiative for Integrity and Development (JIID) is a non-governmental organization, registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria. The core mandates of the organization are to strengthen governance structures across levels

MISSION STATEMENT

JIID to lead in promoting peace, good governance practices and development process that would lead to increased social cohesion and improved quality of life for Nigerian citizens. To this purpose, JIID delivers quality development services that will positively influence public policies.

VISION

JIID envisions a society where citizens actively participate in governance, peacebuilding and decision-making processes that would lead to sustainable development and growth. A society where men and women, boys and girls, young and old, employed and unemployed citizens and person with disabilities….

WHAT WE DO

We are a Human Capacity Development organization with focus in the following areas

Governance

JIID governance approach encourages the integration of citizens and civil society organizations into governance processes. We work toward improving the capacity of governance institutions and agencies, in order to improve the quality of service delivered to citizens and communities.

Capacity development

JIID’s core thematic areas of concentration is transformational capacity development of key service delivery actors, institutions and public. JIID embraces sustainable approaches that would bring about positive change, by improving social cohesion and community.

Gender equality

JIID’s major competency area is advocacy and capacity building tailored towards re-orientating the mind-sets of disadvantaged groups including women and girls. Recognizing the entrenched institutionalized power imbalances between the genders, visible through sustained patriarchy.

Peacebuilding

JIID focuses on sustainable long-term peace building, we understand peacebuilding to be efforts by diverse actors in government and civil society to address root causes of violence and protect civilians before, during, and after violent conflict. Thus, our peacebuilding approach includes.
