EDUCATION IN EMERGENCY SERVICES

Conflicts, disasters caused by natural hazards and pandemics keep millions of children out of school and the numbers are rising. In crisis-affected countries, school-age children are more than twice as likely to be out of school as their peers in other countries. JIID works to ensure that educational needs of children caught up in conflict situations are met. We accordingly work to support the enrolment of children into formal education and ensuring that girls aged 12 and above remain in school until the age of 18 at minimum. We work to supports and complement governments/other actor’s efforts to provide free and affordable access to education to displaced children.
