GENDER EQUALITY

JIID’s major competency area is advocacy and capacity building tailored towards re-orientating the mind-sets of disadvantaged groups including women and girls. Recognizing the entrenched institutionalized power imbalances between the genders, visible through sustained patriarchy that limits women and girls participation in economic and political sphere, JIID actively advocate for the protection and promotion of the rights to women and girls to access equality education and employment. JIID supports efforts to mainstream gender in public policy formulation and implementation.
