ENDING CHILD MARRIAGE AND HARMFUL PRACTICES

JIID works to break the inter-generational poverty resulting from early child marriages. We understand the cultural, traditional and religious practices that support the “feminization of poverty” through the practice of early/forced child marriages. We work to deconstruct long held socio, cultural and religious barriers that promote these harmful practices while ensuring that perpetrators of harm and violence on children are held accountable for their actions.
