PEACEBUILDING AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC RECOVERY

Peace is a condition for sustainable development. JIID works to ensure an atmosphere of peace by taking concrete steps to build and sustain peace initiatives that ensures societies remain peaceful. While societies that have experienced forms of violence or violent conflict are supported to retain basic social service and recover socio-economic infrastructure and livelihood that have been lost due to the conflict. JIID understands that post-conflict economies are not normal economies; hence require strategies that strengthen weakened structures and systems. Our peacebuilding approach considers equitable redistribution of socioeconomic infrastructure and inclusive processes in addressing the root causes of conflicts.
